About the show

An idiosyncratic commentary on Pakistan’s current state of affairs, sketched in Mr Anwer Maqsood’s own inimitable style, the play draws a parallel between what Pakistan was meant to be when our forefathers had conceived it and what Pakistan means to us now as we have received it.

‘Pawney 14 August’ has broken all theatrical records in Pakistan with 28 performances and 15000 viewers in Karachi and is now ready to sweep away the rest of Pakistan with its intense storyline and extravagant performances.
